Power Rankings – Week 2

Boise St. true freshman QB Hank Bachmeier torched the Seminoles for 407 passing yards to lead BSU to a 36-31 comeback win as a 6.5-point road underdog in Tallahassee.

As always, my Power Rankings are based on one thing only: If I’m the book and I’ve got to take the bets, who would I make favored over whom on a neutral field in say…Topeka or Omaha tonight or tomorrow?

Not much change from my preseason rankings. Virginia and Boise State crash into the Top 25 after big wins over Pitt (30-14 as a 2.5-point road favorite) and at FSU (36-31 after being down 31-19 at intermission), respectively.
