Conor left speechless by Khabib’s “Let’s Talk Now” request

Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight belt with a fourth-round submission win over Conor McGregor. The champ also scored the only knockdown of the scrap when it was standing.

Khabib Nurmagomedov remained undefeated and retained his lightweight strap by submitting Conor McGregor in last week’s UFC 229 headliner at T-Mobile Center in Las Vegas.

Check out this clip of Khabib talking trash to McGregor and repeatedly dotting his eye during Round 2:

DAMN! Just outstanding!

In other UFC news this week, Daniel Cormier will defend his heavyweight belt against Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis in the UFC 230 headliner at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Cormier is listed as a -600 favorite at 5Dimes, leaving Lewis at +450 on the comeback (risk $100 to win $450).

Also, ‘Diamond’ Dustin Poirier withdrew from his co-main event bout vs. Nate Diaz with an undisclosed injury earlier this week. The UFC is not pursuing another opponent for Diaz, who told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani he’ll “fight Khabib next whenever he’s ready.”

With Cormier forced to vacate his light-heavyweight strap, former 205-pound kingpin Jon ‘Bones’ Jones will make his return to the Octagon (after yet ANOTHER suspension) to face Alexander ‘The Mauler’ Gustafsson at UFC 232 in a rematch of their epic five-round war more than five years ago at UFC 165. Jones won by a razor-thin decision.

Bovada has Jones as a -280 ‘chalk’ with Gustafsson as the +220 underdog.
