Former Alabama football player Eryk ‘Ya Boi’ Anders will return to the Octagon to face Tim ‘The South Jersey Strangler’ Williams at UFC Lincoln on August 25 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Anders is coming off the first loss of his career to former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, who won by split decision. BrianEdwardsSports.com ruled the fight 48-47 for Anders.

The 30-year-old is 10-1 overall and 2-1 in the UFC. He sent veteran Rafael Natal into retirement with a first-round KO win in his Octagon debut. Anders followed that up with a dominant unanimous-decision win (30-25, 29-28, 30-26) over Markus Perez last December.

Williams (15-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) saw his five-fight winning streak snapped in his UFC debut in February. Williams, who was a participant is Seasons 17 and 19 of The Ultimate Fighter, lost by first-round KO to Oskar Piechota at UFC Fight Night 126.

In boxing news, another Alabama product in Deontay Wilder is poised to fight Anthony Joshua later this year. Joshua has been made a -230 favorite at 5Dimes, with Wilder at +170 on the comeback (risk $100 to win $170).
