Ortega wanted to step in to face Khabib, too!

Brian ‘T-City’ Ortega, the undefeated No. 1 featherweight contender, wants a piece of both fighters that’ll meet in Saturday’s UFC 223 headliner in Brooklyn, and he’ll probably get his shot at both here soon.

They still could meet this summer if Khabib Nurmagomedov beats Holloway on Saturday night, and ‘Blessed’ gets out of the fight without any significant injuries.
Turns out, ‘T-City’ was also called upon by the UFC when it initially couldn’t get into contact with Holloway. And Ortega was game as a mother fucker!
See his tweet from a little more than an hour ago below:
For the record, Dana called me yesterday to see if I would step in against Khabib since Max hadn’t responded yet. I said yes. Eventually, Max replied and Dana gave him the fight. If all goes according to plan, I’ll get my turn – at both of them.

That’s good stuff right there.
And it’s no BS from ‘T-City,’ who mentioned last month that his aim in the not-too-distant future is to move up to lightweight.
