UFC 214: Woodley favored vs. Maia; Cyborg -1200

Tyron Woodley will put his welterweight belt on the line for the third time at UFC 214 against Demian Maia, who is 10-2 since moving down to the 170-pound division.

The odds for the rest of the main card at UFC 214 on July 29 filtered out over the weekend. In the co-main event, Tyron Woodley will defend his welterweight title against BJJ specialist Demian Maia.

Bovada opened Woodley at -185 on Sunday and the offshore book has seen zero line movement whatsoever. Bovada has Maia as the +150 underdog.

5Dimes opened Woodley at -210 on Saturday night. The odds moved up to -230 late Sunday afternoon, only to fall down to -190 just before midnight. Maia is +165 on the comeback at 5Dimes right now. The total is 2.5 rounds (‘under’ -150, ‘over’ +130) at most spots.

I’m all about Maia as a nice ‘dog. The 39-year-old has won seven fights in a row and owns a 10-2 record in his 12 fights since dropping down from middleweight to the 170-pound loop.

As expected, Cyborg Justino is a monster ‘chalk’ for her showdown with Tonya Evinger for the vacant women’s featherweight championship. Justino is -1200 at 5Dimes and -1100 at Bovada. Evinger is the +660 underdog at 5Dimes.

Bovada has Jason ‘Mississippi Mean’ as a -130 favorite vs. Ricard Lamas in a featherweight scrap.
