Robbie Lawler injured his thumb in training and has been forced to withdraw from his welterweight title defense against Carlos Condit. Therefore, the new UFC 193 main event will feature women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm in Australia on Nov. 15.

Rousey and Holm had been scheduled to headline the UFC 195 card in Las Vegas on Jan. 2. Rousey is currently listed as a -1450 favorite at 5Dimes, with Holm available for a lucrative +950 return (risk $100 to win $950). The total is 1.5 rounds (‘under’ -420, ‘over’ +300).

For now, it appears that Condit will go into a holding pattern. He hasn’t been offered another fight yet because Lawler could heal up fairly quick. In that scenario, Condit-Lawler will get scheduled again for early in 2016. If Lawler is going to be out for an extended period of time, look for Condit to get matched up with the winner of Tyron Woodley vs. Johny Hendricks in what would be a title eliminator.
