Utah St. QB Keeton likely out for the season

According to multiple reports early Wednesday night, Utah St. star quarterback Chuckie Keeton will most likely miss the rest of the season. The senior out of Houston, TX., injured the same knee he blew out last season  in a Sept. 13 win over Wake Forest.

Keeton does have a medical redshirt remaining if he chooses to return to school.

The Aggies are 21-point underdogs Friday night at BYU. Utah St. back-up QB Darrell Garretson will get his ninth career start in Provo.

Garretson threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns in an overtime loss at Arkansas St. two Saturdays ago. He went 6-1 for the Aggies in seven starts last season, with the only loss coming to Fresno St. by a 21-14 count in the Mtn. West Championship Game.

Keeton had 18 TD passes compared to only two interceptions before tearing his ACL in a loss to BYU last year. For his career, Keeton has a stellar 58/17 TD-INT ratio and 15 rushing scores.
