UF quarterback Treon Harris suspended indefinitely

Florida freshman quarterback Treon Harris has been suspended from all team activities while law enforcement officials in Gainesville investigate a sexual assault complaint.

Harris has not been charged.

Harris entered Saturday’s game at Tennessee and promptly led the Gators on a pair of fourth-quarter scoring drives to help his team win a 10-9 decision.

Jeff Driskel will get a new lease on his starting job after he appeared destined for the bench. Driskel has been intercepted five times in the last two games.

The fourth-year junior will get the starting nod Saturday at home vs. LSU. As of late Tuesday morning, most books had LSU installed as a 1.5-point road favorite.

Florida has been extremely fortunate to get wins over Kentucky (in triple overtime) and Tennessee, but it has a 2-1 SEC record and is right in the thick of the SEC East race.
