Here’s my preview of Georgia at South Carolina at VegasInsider.com.

Steve Spurrier owns a 15-6 all-time record vs. UGA, including an 11-1 mark during his dynastic tenure at Florida.

–Baylor is just downright nasty. The numbers for the Bears look too big every week, but all they do is cover, especially for first-half wagers. Art Briles’s squad cruised to a 63-21 win at Buffalo last night, easily covering the number as a 34-point road ‘chalk.’ Bryce Petty threw for 416 yards and four touchdowns in three quarters of playing time.

–I’ve said many times over the last few months that I think Florida is going to have a really good season and that Will Muschamp will keep his job. If he doesn’t, however, I know who I want to be the next coach at Florida. (And it’s probably not a good fit and probably won’t happen, but….) His name is Art Briles.

–What a performance from Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel in his collegiate debut last night. Kiel, the nation’s No. 1 QB coming out of high school in the 2012 class, had to go through a bunch to finally get on the field. He originally committed to Indiana, then switched to LSU, only to change his mind on Signing Day in order to to Notre Dame. But things didn’t work out for Kiel in South Bend, leading him to transfer to Cincy where he sat out the 2013 campaign. Kiel showed what all the hype was all about Friday night, guiding the Bearcats to a 58-34 home win over Toledo as 10-point favorites. He threw for 418 yards and tied Tony Pike’s school record with six TD passes. Tommy Tuberville’s team raced out to a 34-0 lead, only to give Cincy backers a major scare in the third quarter when it gave up 17 quick points to allow the Rockets to cut the deficit to 10 and get even to the number.

–East Carolina is all over Va. Tech in the first half. The Pirates lead 21-0 and they’ve come up with zero points on three trips inside of Va. Tech’s 25. They have a 312-30 advantage in total offense so far. Shane Carden is absolutely shredding one of the nation’s best secondaries.

–ECU isn’t the biggest surprising early score today, however. That would be FIU leading Pitt 16-7 in the second quarter. The Panthers went into South Florida as 25-point road favorites.
