–Northwestern’s Drew Crawford has been upgraded to ‘probable’ tonight at North Carolina St. Bettors should disregard the Wildcats’ losses to Missouri and UCLA because Crawford only played 13 minutes against Mizzou and couldn’t go against the Bruins. Crawford is one of the top 10 players in the Big Ten, averaging 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Most spots have the Wolfpack favored by 8.5 or 9.

–Davidson’s De’Mon Brooks is ‘out’ tonight at Charlotte with a groin injury. Many may remember his knucklehead turnover that cost the Wildcats a win in the first round of last year’s NCAA Tournament, but Brooks is a helluva player. He is averaging 16.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. As for the 49ers, they could be without Pierria Henry, who is ‘questionable’ with a sore knee. Henry averages 12.1 points, 6.3 boards, 5.9 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Charlotte is favored by eight.

–Drexel was looking solid early but suffered a crushing blow when guard Damion Lee tore his ACL in last week’s win over Alabama at MSG in multiple overtimes. Lee, who averaged 17.1 PPG last season, was averaging 13.0 points and 4.2 RPG so far this season. The Dragons host Cleveland St., which will be without guard Charlie Lee (12.8 PPG, ankle).

–Houston forward Danuel House is ‘out’ at Texas A&M after injuring his knee and having it scoped. House, who averages 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, is out indefinitely. The Cougars are nine-point underdogs tonight in College Station.

–P.J. Hairston and Leslie McDonald remain out (suspensions) for UNC, which is at Breslin Center to face Sparty. Michigan St. sophomore PG Gary Harris is ‘probable’ after missing one game with an ankle injury. Harris averages 17.7 PPG. Tom Izzo’s squad is a nine-point ‘chalk’ at most shops.

–I like Harvard again tonight as a 3.5-point favorite at Northeastern. The Crimson’s only loss to date came at Colorado in a game it led nearly the entire game before the Buffaloes mounted a three-point barrage at crunch time. Click here to check out the rest of my plays for tonight.
