Florida freshman point guard Kasey Hill might miss a month after badly spraining his ankle in Monday’s 67-53 home win over Southern in a non-lined matchup in Gainesville.

Hill, a McDonald’s All-American, had started UF’s first four games with senior PG Scottie Wilbekin still out due to a suspension. Hill was averaging 10.2 points per game with a 17/4 assists-to-turnovers ratio. He had a team-high nine steals.

In addition to Wilbekin, Billy Donovan’s team is still without Damontre Harris (suspension) and Chris Walker (ineligible), and Rutgers transfer Eli Carter is struggling with conditioning after being out so long with a leg injury.

UF already played short-handed in a loss at Wisconsin and non-conference games against Kansas, UConn and Memphis are looming in the coming weeks.
