The Las Vegas Hilton, known as LVH these days, will host a handicapping seminar this weekend. I’ll be on the college football panel with Kenny White, Bruce Marshall and Dave Cokin. Steve Cofield, a long-time sports radio titan in Sin City, will be the moderator.

The event will take place Friday at 5:30 p.m. Pacific in Ballroom E. Entrance is free to the public.

LVH will be raffling off five free entries (normal cost: $1,500) to the NFL SuperContest. There will be a golfing event on Saturday with a chance to win other prizes.

This is the second year of the event run by Jay Kornegay, the Race & Sports Book Director at LVH.

On Monday, I’ll be on sports radio in Vegas previewing the NFC South with Paul Howard. I’ll do the same with Matt Youmans and Cokin on Tuesday.

My weekly guest appearances on the Sharp & Benning Show on 1620 The Zone in Omaha will start up again this week. My usual time slot will be 10:45 a.m. Central on Fridays, but I’m not sure about this week yet.

Nick Bahe, the color analyst for the Creighton basketball, has returned to The Zone and now has his own afternoon show. Bruce Marshall will be Nick’s weekly handicapping guest on Fridays.

My appearances on the Chris Vernon Show in Memphis will also start back this week when I reveal my favorite NFL season win totals (think Jags ‘under’ 5).

My twice-a-week columns for GameCockCentral.com start up again this week and my weekly Las Vegas Review-Journal column will return on Aug. 31.
