The facts aren’t all in yet. New England star tight end Aaron Hernandez might have simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Whatever the case, it ain’t good and it started getting a lot uglier early Thursday.

What we know is that authorities in North Attleborough found the body of Odin Lloyd roughly a mile from Hernandez’s home around 5:30 p.m. Eastern on Monday. Lloyd, a 27-year old who played semi-pro football for the Boston Bandits, was reportedly shot execution style in the back of the head.

He was reportedly dating Hernandez’s live-in girlfriend’s sister, who police were unable to locate Monday and Tuesday. Per ABC News, authorities feared for her safety before she turned up on Wednesday.

A car rented by Hernandez was found near Lloyd’s body, prompting law enforcement officials to seek him out for questioning. Before police executed a warrant to search Hernandez’s home on Tuesday and Wednesday, a cleaning crew was reportedly seen leaving Hernandez’s house on Monday.

According to reports from ABC News, SI.com and Boston FOX 25 News that are quoting multiple investigators close to the case, several new details emerged late Wednesday and early Thursday.

1- The video surveillance system in Hernandez’s home was intentionally destroyed.

2- Hernandez’s attorney turned over his cell phone “in pieces” on Wednesday.

3- Police have reviewed surveillance video of Hernandez and Lloyd partying together Friday night into Saturday morning at a Boston nightclub.

4- Authorities believe Lloyd died between 1:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Monday morning. The victim reportedly left a bar with Hernandez and two other men late Sunday night.

Obviously, if most (or just some) of these reports are indeed accurate, playing another down in the NFL is the least of Hernandez’s concerns.

ESPN reported earlier today that Hernandez visited Gillette Stadium to meet with Patriots officials for an hour at around noon Eastern. He was believed to be at his lawyer’s office in Boston later in the day.

BE Sports will continue to follow this fluid story.
