The NBA has suspended Miami reserve Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals tonight at Indiana. Andersen basically took a pair of cheap shots at Tyler Hansbrough in the second quarter of the Heat’s Game 5 win.

I thought Andersen was fortunate to avoid an ejection. If necessary, ‘Birdman’ would be able to play in a Game 7.

Miami took a 3-2 series advantage with Thursday’s 90-79 win as a 7.5-point home favorite. The Heat will look for the kill shot tonight as a 2.5-point road ‘chalk.’

Andersen has played outstanding in this series, making all 15 of his shots from the field. His size and toughness in the lane will be missed.
