1-Alabama — Looked like it could be had in September. Not so much right now.
2-Oregon — Another game, another cover.
3-FSU — Heavily favored Saturday against the ‘Canes.
4-Stanford — Outstanding win over a very solid team in Corvallis.
5-Baylor — No more cupcakes. Real games start next Thursday when OU comes to Waco.
6-Ohio St. — Next five weeks: at Purdue, open date, at Illinois, vs. IU & at Michigan.
7-Auburn — Doesn’t sound like Nick Marshall’s shoulder injury will keep him out at Arky.
8-Texas A&M — Finishes season w/ late November trips to Baton Rouge and Columbia (Mizzou).
9-Missouri — Costly loss but still controls own destiny in terms of getting to Atlanta.
10-LSU — Can Mettenberger orchestrate an upset at ‘Bama in two weeks?
11-Wisconsin — Tough tester Saturday in Iowa City, then Badgers must face hot BYU squad.
12-South Carolina — Connor Shaw is nation’s toughest player & SEC Player of the Week.
13-UCLA — Hundley has missed RB Jordon James, who hasn’t played 3 straight w/ ankle injury.
14-Michigan St. — I think the Spartans can beat Ohio St. in the Big Ten Championship Game.
15-Miami — Will have to play on another level we haven’t seen to win in Tally.
16-Oregon St. — Four tough games looming: vs. USC, at ASU, vs. UW & at Oregon.
17-Clemson — Tigers failed to cover against a Maryland team gutted by injuries galore.
18-Oklahoma — Big win over Texas Tech, can make noise w/ win at Baylor next Thursday.
19-Texas Tech –Oklahoma St. comes to Lubbock this weekend for crucial Big 12 clash.
20-Notre Dame — Three solid wins since loss to OU has this team trending up.
21-Arizona St. — Had open date after trouncing Washington by 53-24 count.
22-Ole Miss — Has a decent shot at a 10-win season.
23-UCF — This team is for real.
24-Louisville — Cards easily got the money in bounce-back win at USF.
25-BYU — Nobody wants to play this team right now. Cougars invade Camp Randall after open date.

In the mix: Florida, Georgia, Texas, Va. Tech, Michigan & Oklahoma St.
