The Mayweather-McGregor World Tour started Tuesday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The promotional tour’s debut in Tinseltown started Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Eastern, with Fox Sports 2 providing the live telecast. The presser was broadcast later Tuesday night on FS1.

The event was hosted by Showtime in a boxing type of format, which was certainly different than McGregor is accustomed to. In fact, he was annoyed that his personal microphone was turned off while other promoters and Mayweather were at the podium on the main microphone.

McGregor, the UFC’s lightweight champ, was introduced by Dana White. McGregor was dressed to the nines as always with a custom-made suit, one that appeared to be pinstripe but upon closer inspection, revealed the words in small font, “Fuck You.”

As McGregor took the main microphone, he said, “More than 20,000 people [here], it’s mind-blowing. I’m absolutely honored to be here before you to give you this great spectacle. And somebody’s 0 has to go. He’s in a fucking track suit! He can’t even afford a suit anymore. He is fucked!”

McGregor continued, “There’s no other way about it. His little legs. His little core. His little hands. His little head. I’m going to knock him out inside four rounds and there’s no doubt about it.”

Mayweather did plenty of shit talking himself. The event ended with a tight and tense staredown that featured both fighters piping back and forth non-stop with White doing his best to make sure things didn’t get physical.

During Conor’s separate media scrum from Floyd’s, there was an unexpected guest — Floyd Sr. As usual, the elder Mayweather did plenty of shit talking of his own, offering to kick McGregor’s ass on Wednesday. You can check out this pure entertainment here via MMAFighting.com.

Next stop? Today in Toronto at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Fox Sports 2. Brooklyn at Barclays Center is Thursday and Wembley Stadium in London is on Friday. Enjoy!
