Eric Hester has chosen to transfer from Florida after his freshman season in Gainesville.

Devin Robinson made it official Friday when he announced that he was going to sign with an agent and stay in the 2017 NBA Draft. Just two days prior, UF had announced that Eric Hester was transferring from the program.

Robinson (11.1 points per game, 6.2 RPG) just completed his junior campaign and helped the Gators advance to the East Region finals, where they dropped a heartbreaker to South Carolina at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He also tested the NBA waters last season before opting to return to Gainesville.

There’s also the possibility that John Egbunu will stay in the Draft, though he’s yet to sign with an agent.

That makes six players who won’t be coming back to the team, possibly seven if Egbunu is gone. Mike White signed four players in this class who will be freshmen, while Va. Tech transfer Jalen Hudson is set to join the Gators after sitting out this past season.

That leaves one, possibly two, scholarships available. Look for UF to be heavily in the market for at least one grad transfer, especially after getting such quality production out of Canyon Barry in 2016-2017.
