**B.E.’s Bonus Nuggets**

–Former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson is now the offensive coordinator at Ohio St. He’ll face his former team after getting fired despite leading IU to back-to-back bowl games for the first time since 1990-91.

–Michigan was -7.5 against the Gators last week, so that number has gone down one point already. With Luke Del Rio sidelined for spring practice after undergoing shoulder surgery, a pair of redshirt freshmen in Kyle Trask and Feleipe Franks will get all of the reps at spring practice for Jim McElwain’s team.

–Likewise, Alabama was -3.5 vs. FSU last week, so that number has also been adjusted by one point in less than a week. The Crimson Tide will hope to carry its nine-game winning streak at the Ga. Dome next door to the new Mercedes-Benz Dome. These storied programs haven’t met since FSU won a 21-14 decision as a two-point favorite in Jacksonville. That was in 2007, Nick Saban’s first year on the job.

–UCLA will be looking to avenge an overtime loss to A&M in College Station in last year’s season opener. The Bruins are hoping rising junior QB Josh Rosen’s surgically repaired shoulder will be ready. They’re looking to bounce back from a dreadful 4-8 campaign. Meanwhile, Kevin Sumlin will be in dire need of a win as he goes into 2017 on the hot seat.

–Speaking of hot seats, none is warmer than UT’s Butch Jones. To say the last, he needs a win over the Yellow Jackets badly.

–Charlie Strong has to take his first USF squad all the way from Tampa to San Jose for his debut with the Bulls, who lost Marlon Mack to the NFL but bring back QB Quinton Flowers. Mack was the Bulls’ all-time leading rusher but opted to skip his senior season to declare for the NFL Draft.

–Tom Herman will make his Texas debut against Maryland. The Terrapins are currently compiling an excellent recruiting class under D.J. Durkin.

–Chris Petersen’s Washington team smashed Rutgers by a 48-13 count in Seattle last season.

–Former Western Ky. head coach Jeff Brohm will make his Purdue debut against his alma mater. Brohm coached at Louisville under Bobby Petrino and then replaced him at WKU when Petrino returned to U of L. Brohm won back-to-back C-USA titles with the Hilltoppers before accepting the gig at Purdue.
