Fresh off a 38-0 win over Michigan St. in Arlington, Alabama will take on Clemson in the CFP finals in Glendale a week from today. The Tigers smashed Oklahoma 37-17 as four-point underdogs after trailing 17-16 at intermission. They hooked up money-line backers with a nice +160 payout (paid $160 on $100 wagers).

As of Monday morning, most books had the Crimson Tide installed as a seven-point favorite with a total of 51.5 points. The tally has moved down two points after opening at 53.5.

Alabama is -280 on the money line, while bettors can take Clemson to win outright for a monster +240 return (risk $100 to win $240).

**B.E.’s Bonus Nuggets**

–According to multiple reports, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin and UCLA’s Jim Mora Jr. are trying hard to land an NFL job.

–Texas A&M is believed to be the leader in the pursuit of Oklahoma transfer QB Trevor Knight, who will have one year of eligibility remaining and can play right away. However, LSU is also in the mix.

–Kyle Allen and Will Grier are “on the market” but neither can play in 2016.

–According to an NFL.com report, the Colts are poised to make a strong push to land Nick Saban. If Saban can be pulled back to the NFL, Indy is one team I’d give a decent shot at it because of the presence of Andrew Luck, who has at least 10 years of playing in his prime remaining.
