UPDATE: A few books have adjusted Michigan to a four-point favorite. One offshore has the total for ‘over/under’ wagers at 43. This will be one of the lower totals of the postseason.

ATLANTA — Michigan and Florida will tangle in this year’s Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in Orlando on New Year’s Day at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. The offshore betting shop 5Dimes opened the Wolverines as 3.5-point favorites in this rematch of the 2007 version of this same event (then called the Capital One Bowl).

Jim McElwain’s team is 10-3 after dropping back-to-back games vs. Florida St. and vs. Alabama. UF lost a 29-15 decision to the Crimson Tide in Saturday’s SEC Championship Game. The Gators covered the spread as 17-point underdogs, while the 44 combined points slipped ‘over’ the 38-point total.

Michigan beat Florida by a 40-35 count in the ’07 meeting when Chad Henne outplayed Tim Tebow, who had won the Heisman Trophy just weeks beforehand.

UF is the only SEC school that’s an underdog this postseason.
