My picks for Saturday’s games. I’m on a 31-14 run (69%, +16 units) in college football since Oct. 29.

–For What It’s Worth: Gainesville Sun columnist Pat Dooley predicts Alabama to beat Florida, 24-3.

–Matt Youmans of the Las Vegas Review-Journal tackles the Big Ten Championship Game and more.

–The Baton Rouge Advocate reports FSU’s Jimbo Fisher was in discussions with LSU about being its next head coach, but the cost of Les Miles’s buyout, paying Fisher and some intervening from Bobby Jindal led the LSU brass deciding to keep Miles in the second half of last week’s 19-7 home win over Texas A&M.

–According to multiple reports, Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez, Cal’s Sonny Dykes, Auburn DC Will Muschamp and Oklahoma OC Lincoln Riley have all interviewed for the vacant South Carolina job. Kirby Smart was on the cusp of accepting the job until Georgia’s Mark Richt was fired at his alma mater this past Sunday. Most signs indicate that Muschamp is going to be the next coach for the Gamecocks. He has reached out to Gamecock legend Marcus Lattimore and former South Carolina DC Ellis Johnson about joining his staff if the former UF coach gets the gig.

–Muschamp has a very important person in his corner. Steve Spurrier wants Muschamp to get the job.

–Dino Babers has left Bowling Green to take the Syracuse job. Too bad he can’t bring Matt Johnson with him.

My SEC Championship Game preview.

–Best of luck to all with your bets, ballgames and hopefully for you – Budweisers! I’m out and headed down to the Ga. Dome after a stop at Moe’s BBQ on 14th for Buds & fireballs.
