–FSU star RB Dalvin Cook is ‘out’ for Saturday’s home game vs. Syracuse. Also, starting LB Terrance Smith is ‘out’ and QB Everett Golson has been limited at practice this week due to various bumps and bruises. At his post-practice presser Thursday night, Jimbo Fisher said Golson would start “unless something happens between now and [Saturday.]” The Seminoles were favored by 20.5 points, but that number was down to 17 by late Friday afternoon. Cook has rushed for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 8.2 yards per carry.

–Oregon St. QB Seth Collins had an injury setback Thursday and is now ‘questionable’ to play Saturday at Utah. Collins has a 4/4 touchdown-to-interception ratio against FBS opponents this season.

–Kevin Sumlin has finally decided on a starting QB vs. South Carolina. It will be Kyler Murray, the true freshman who didn’t play at Ole Miss last week even after Sumlin yanked Kyle Allen.
