UFC 192 co-main off due to Hendricks’ weight-cut issue

The co-main event for Saturday’s UFC 192 show at Toyota Center in Houston has been cancelled due to a weight-cut issue for former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks, who was set to face Tyron Woodley.

Dana White tweeted the news out in the last hour.

According to tweets from Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Snowden, Hendricks was rushed to the hospital after developing kidney stones while cutting weight. Kidney stones can be caused by dehydration.

There’s no word on a potential replacement to face Woodley, but that scenario seems highly unlikely at this point. Look for Rashad Evans vs. Ryan Bader to be moved into the co-main slot. Joseph Benavidez vs. Ali Bagautinov has been moved from the Fox Sports 1 card into a pay-per-view slot.

This is a major setback for Hendricks, who was almost certainly going to get another title shot with a win over Woodley.
