Rousey opens as a heavy favorite vs. Zingano

Gamblers have to risk $750 to win $100 on Ronda Rousey in her UFC 182 clash vs. Cat Zingano.

Bovada opened Ronda Rousey as a -750 favorite over Cat Zingano early this morning. Since then, there has been no change in the odds.

Rousey (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will be attempting to defend her women’s bantamweight belt for the fifth time. She’s needed just 82 seconds to polish off her last two opponents and bag a pair of Performance of the Night bonuses.

Zingano, currently a +475 underdog, improved to 2-0 in the Octagon and 9-0 overall with her third-round TKO finish of Amanda Nunes at UFC 178.

Zingano had not fought in nearly 18 months while recovering from a knee injury and the tragic death of her husband. She had previously beaten Miesha Tate to earn a title shot and a role as coach opposite of Rousey on The Ultimate Fighter. Tate ended up replacing her on TUF and lost to Rousey via armbar in the third round.

Zingano and Rousey will collide in the co-main event of UFC 182 in Las Vegas. Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier will headline this card on Jan. 3.
