Update: The charges against Morrison have been dropped, but his suspension will still last for two games.

Florida sophomore linebacker Antonio Morrison was arrested for the second time in five weeks early this morning in Gainesville. Morrison was arrested at 3:43 a.m. Eastern for barking at a police dog and resisting arrest without violence. Both charges are misdemeanors.

“I’m extremely disappointed in Antonio Morrison’s decision making,” Florida coach Will Muschamp said in a statement. “He has been suspended from the team and will miss at least two games to begin the season.”

Morrison started four games as a true freshman and started to emerge as a playmaker late in the season. He was arrested on June 16 for allegedly punching a bouncer at a bar. Morrison was fined $100 and sentenced to 12 hours of community service for that incident.

The Gators open the season at home against Toledo and play at Miami in Week 2.

5Dimes has Florida with 30/1 odds to win the BCS Championship. The website has the Gators with +365 odds to win the SEC East and +950 odds to win the SEC Championship Game for the first time since 2008.

UF has a season win total of nine (‘under’ -155, ‘over’ +125).
