The Golden Nugget released lines for 250 college football Games of the Year today, opening up action for gamblers at 1:00 p.m. Pacific. The book had posted numbers for 100 games in the past, but it decided to provide even more options for bettors this year.

Five teams are favored in every game, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St., Oregon and Louisville. South Carolina, Oklahoma St. and Texas are underdogs just once.

Alabama has won three of the last four national titles and the oddsmakers are bullish on the Crimson Tide again in 2013. Nick Saban’s team is favored by double digits in nine of its 10 games that the Nugget posted numbers for. The lone exception is when the Tide travels to Kyle Field, where it is installed as a six-point ‘chalk’ at Texas A&M.

‘Bama is favored by 11.5 at home versus LSU. The next-shortest spread is 17 for a pair of games, vs. Va. Tech in the season opener at the Ga. Dome and at home against Ole Miss.

On a similar note, Oregon is a double-digit ‘chalk in 10 of its 11 lined games at the Nugget. The only exemption for the Ducks is when they go to Palo Alto to face Stanford as four-point road favorites.

Coming off an undefeated 2012 in Urban Meyer’s first season at the helm, Ohio St. has a legit chance to go through the regular-season schedule unscathed again. The Buckeyes’ toughest games will be at Northwestern and at Michigan. They are favored by eight and six, respectively, in those Big Ten tilts.

Georgia has four single-digit favorite situations. The Bulldogs are favored by four vs. South Carolina, four vs. Florida (in Jacksonville), six vs. LSU and nine at Ga. Tech.

Mark Richt’s team returns talent galore on the offensive side of the ball, including All-American candidates Aaron Murray, Todd Gurley, Chris Burnette and Arthur Lynch. The defense returns only three starters, however.
