**B.E.’s Bonus Nuggets**

–When considering these future odds, you don’t necessarily have to think of a team winning it all for you to make a profit. In other words, there are going to be hedge opportunities if your team gets to the Elite Eight or even the Sweet 16 if the odds are generous enough.

–With that in mind, my top value picks include Miami (25/1), Butler (40/1), Minnesota (50/1) and VCU (80/1). And I’ll never bicker with confidence in a team coached by Bo Ryan (Wisconsin 100/1)!

–After missing five straight games, Missouri’s Laurence Bowers will return tonight at LSU. Bowers averages 16.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game.

–South Carolina has covered the number in four straight underdog situations. Meanwhile, Florida has taken the cash in seven consecutive games, including all six of its SEC victories. The Gators are 23-point home favorites tonight vs. the Gamecocks.

–The ‘over’ has hit in five straight South Carolina-Florida games. The total is 134.

–Marshall Henderson has been the catalyst behind Ole Miss’s best start since the 1930s. However, with that said, dude was a little too excited in last night’s home loss vs. Kentucky. His shot selection, especially in the first half, was absolutely atrocious. As St. John’s head coach Steve Lavin was prone to say during his TV days, ‘you gotta share the sugar sometimes.’

–The biggest winners last night were Kentucky and Indiana St. The Sycamores won outright (by double digits) at Wichita St. as 11 1/2-point underdogs.

–Here is my first installment of Sweet 16 Power Rankings that were posted before last night’s results.
