Power Rankings – Week 15

With New England’s 42-14 demolition of Houston last night in Foxboro, it pulled to within one game of the Texans for the AFC’s best record. If the Patriots can make up one game in the next three weeks, they will garner homefield advantage throughout the playoffs based on the head-to-head victory last night.

Denver jumps up to No. 2 in my power rankings following its 26-13 win at Oakland. The Broncos have won eight in a row and are also in the mix for the AFC’s top seed. They ended a three-game ATS slide with their win at The Black Hole.

Despite its loss at Carolina, Atlanta still holds a 1.5-game lead over San Francisco for the NFC’s top spot. The Falcons can make a statement at home vs. the G-Men this week, but another loss will bring the haters and doubters out in full force.
